Rentaloo - Notes for Hirers

Health and Safety Statement: We adhere to all relevant legal requirements for Health and Safety at Work issued by the Guernsey Authorities. We endeavour to provide good quality equipment, suitable for the application as given to us by the client, along with all necessary information for the safe operation and use of the equipment. The hirer is expected to inform us immediately of any query whatsoever relating to the equipment hired, particularly if a safety issue is involved. Do not use or allow to be used, any item you are unsure of - either as to its suitability, its operation or condition. Unless it is Owner operated plant with specific safety equipment, the Hirer is responsible for the provision of all applicable safety equipment on site. The Owner has the right to refuse hire, disconnect or remove any hire equipment being misused, unsuitable or unsafe without consequential compensation.

All items hired are the Hirers responsibility whilst on hire: Appropriate insurance, protection (including frost, natural elements, fire, theft etc), maintenance and safety of equipment must be arranged by the Hirer. Equipment is provided in a clean and operational order. A charge will be made if it is returned/off hired, dirty or damaged, including any subsequent loss of hire pending rectification of Hirers negligence.

Delivery / Collection: Site preparation is the responsibility of the Hirer. The area must be firm, level and capable of accepting the equipment. Prices quoted assume clear access for vehicles and trailers. Any delays, labour, damage or restrictions may be charged extra, as will any service/maintenance caused by failure of foundations, movement, third party damage affecting the products on site. Clients must not tow, move or relocate any equipment without the permission of the owner.

Quotes: Our quotes do not include electrical, plumbing or drainage connections on site unless specifically stated. Any additional on-site or preparatory labour required will be charged at current rates. Call out charges may apply outside of normal office hours.

Quotations are subject to availability of units: Your earliest confirmation/booking is recommended.

Payment Terms: All site contract hire is charged on a pro-rate daily basis (7 day week), invoiced monthly. Payment is required within 7 days of the invoice date. All hire charges will continue until the units are officially “off hired” by the Hirer’s authorised representative. A minimum of one weeks notice must be given for the termination of contract hire. A deposit may be requested from non-local companies or individuals.

All other hire will require a 40% deposit to confirm the booking (please note that this is non-refundable), this must be paid within 21 days of the letter of quotation sent to the Hirer. The remaining 60% must be paid within 14 days before the date of the event. In the event of cancelled bookings a cancellation charge will be made by the Owner reflecting the type of event, the date of cancellation, the reason for cancelling and the time of year.

Toilet Hire: Quoted on contract includes 1 service call per 7 day hire unless contracted otherwise. Additional service calls are available on request and will be charged at the relevant rate. Emergency call-outs are surcharged.

It should also be noted that when portable toilet facilities are needed on a site that the amount of toilets hired must be based on the amount of employees/workers that will use the facilities ie 1 toilet would be required (if serviced once a week) for 1 to 10 employees. Further information is available on request.

A Service involves the emptying of effluent from the tank, replenishment of the tank prime system and the cleaning of the flush filter when necessary, together with the cleaning of the unit, and the restocking of consumables. Any damage or blockages caused by foreign objects in the system, misuse or extraneous factors will be chargeable. Toilet units must be within 5 metres of the service vehicle access and clear access must be given.

Smoking: Please note that, by law, no smoking is allowed in any of our toilet units or urinal stations.
